IV.1 CRYSTAL CLEAR
CRYSTAL
Perfect vision
Most manufacturers of car care products tend to treat glass surfaces as an orphan – wrongly, because the windows are just as important a part of the well-kept appearance of your vehicle as the paintwork and wheels and on top of this also highly safety relevant: Environmental factors, such as silicone, tar, insects, etc., leave traces on window exteriors that can adversely affect visibility, especially in the windscreen wiper operation area when it is raining. Swissvax Crystal is a ready-to-use glass cleaner that will even repeatedly delight the experienced concours d’élégance enthusiast. It cleans “in a flash”, with no streaking or causing damage to special tints or films on your windows.
HOW TO USE Crystal Glass Cleaner
1. Spray Swissvax Crystal evenly onto a clean Swissvax MicroWash microfiber cloth (yellow) and spread over the entire glass surface.
2. Polish the glass surface well with a second clean Swissvax MicroWash microfibre cloth (yellow).
CARE TIP
To remove stubborn insect dirt or similar, spray Quick Finish onto windscreen and pre-clean with the Paint Rubber.
IV.2 RAIN-X
RAIN-X
Sealing exterior windows
Rain-X makes water simply “fall” from glass surfaces and caters for perfectly clear, streak-free visibility in the rain, even on automobiles with less efficient windscreen wipers. This is particularly important at night with opposite traffic. After the treatment, insect residue can be removed with only a damp cloth. Rain-X is resistant to automatic car washes.
HOW TO USE RAIN-X Glass Sealant
1.Clean the exterior glass surface using Swissvax Crystal (see above).
2. Moisten standard kitchen paper with Rain-X and apply on the exterior glass surfaces. Leave for approx. 5 minutes. Also apply to the windscreen wipers.
3. Wipe off the haze with a moist Swissvax Cloth and buff to a high gloss with a dry Swissvax Cloth.
ANTI-FOG
Interior window protection
Anti-Fog is a durable micro-polymer treatment preventing glass and plastic windows from fogging up. Windscreens, helmet visors and goggles stay clean without misting up. And Anti-Fog can even be used on glass that is already steamed up.
HOW TO USE ANTI FOG Glass Sealant
1. Clean the interior glass surface using Swissvax Crystal (see above).
2. Moisten a soft cloth with Anti-Fog and apply to cleaned interior glass surfaces in a circular motion.
3. Allow to dry.
4. Wipe off the haze with a moist Swissvax Cloth and buff to a high gloss with a dry Swissvax Cloth.
IV.3 METAL POLISH
Swissvax Metal Polish cleans, polishes and protects all kinds of metals
Swissvax Metal Polish removes residues, rust and oxidation efficiently, quickly and gently. It produces a high gloss and offers effective long-term protection.
Chrome-plated parts
Chrome elements are central eyecatchers and their condition is crucial for the perfect appearance. In contrary to popular belief, chrome requires regular care: the chrome coating is extremely thin and can corrode if not maintained properly. Be sure to use a polish that is free of abrasives as this would chaff off the sensitive coating: Unfortunately, chrome plating is often polished with aggressive agents spoiling the spotless gloss with ugly hairline scratches.
Nickel and brass radiators
Should be treated with a polish that offers effective long-term protection from re-oxidation. If low-quality and low-performance polishes are used, re-polishing is often necessary already after the first rainfall, as the gloss is dulled by ugly water marks.
Aluminium
Aluminium reacts very sensitive to aggressive polishes. Only a well-balanced product will produce a long-lasting gloss which is crucial on cylinder heads, valve covers, wheels, etc.
HOW TO USE METAL POLISH Special Care for all Metals
1. Test the product in a not directly visible area first!
2. Apply Swissvax Metal Polish to the metal surface using a disposable Swissvax polishing cloth, doing even back-and-forth (no circular) motions.
3. Rub gently until the surface shows a nice gloss.
4. Buff to a high gloss with a Swissvax MicroPolish cloth (blue).
5 Optionally and on top of the above, you can also seal the surface with a Swissvax wax and then buff to a high gloss with a Swissvax MicroPolish microfibre cloth (blue).
